How to read your mock test analysis in 15 minutes
07 Nov 2026 · By the Score Delta team
Many students look at the score, feel good or bad, and move on. The real value of a mock is in the 15 minutes after it.
1. Marks lost to negative marking
If this number is high, your problem may be question selection, not knowledge. Are you attempting questions you do not know?
2. Careless mistakes
These are questions you answered quickly and got wrong. They are the cheapest marks to win back: slow down on them, and re-read the question once.
3. Easy marks you missed
Questions that most students got right but you did not. Fix these first, because your competition is not losing marks here.
4. Topics
Look at accuracy by topic, along with how much that topic carries in your exam. A weak topic with high weightage comes first.
5. Time per question
Find the questions that ate your time. Skipping one hard question early can pay for three easy ones later.
Then act
Choose just two things to fix before your next mock, and practise those topics. Use "Practise my weak topics" to build a set from your own results. Compare the next mock against the same two things, not only the total.
